DescriptionGeorge Henry Andrews, born in London, was a painter (guoache), draughtsman, watercolouist and illustrator of genre scenes, landscapes with figures, waterscapes and seascapes.
He is recognised as one of the most distinguished English Illustrators. He died in Hammersmith, London on 31 December, 1898.
